Alfred Music Publishing commemorated its 90th anniversary with a year-long celebration launched at Winter NAMM in Anaheim CA. Alfred’s history, from the Tin Pan Alley catalog to a library with more than 90,000 widely known and award-winning educational, reference, pop and performance titles, is a testament to the leadership of the Manus family and the work from Alfred’s employees and authors.
Now in its third generation of Manus family leadership, Alfred Music Publishing’s achievements in the music education industry continue to be driven by its mission to help people experience the joy of making music. Alfred continues to make an impact on how millions around the world learn, teach and play music, with method series titles including Alfred’s Basic Piano Library, Drum Method, Basic Adult Piano Course, Basic Guitar Method, Premier Piano Course, Music for Little Mozarts, Sound Innovations and more.
Ron Manus, CEO at Alfred, stated, “As we celebrate our 90th anniversary, we smile on our past as we look to the future. Alfred remains on the cutting edge of innovation in music education with Sound Innovations, the world’s first customizable method, eBooks, interactive learning tools and imaginative multimedia. We wouldn’t have achieved so much in these 90 years without the spirit and hard work from Alfred’s staff, authors, editors, composers and partners.”
