For the first time in Ashdown’s history, it has established Ashdown USA LLC. The company has set up warehousing logistics and service facilities in California to ensure it provides a high level of technical and customer service, distribution and support.

The company has also appointed MI veteran Jon Gold as President of U.S. Sales. He has a long history in the industry, most notably 12 years at Fender, with six as Senior Vice President of International Sales & Marketing at Fender’s headquarters in Scottsdale AZ.

According to Gold, “Having known Mark and Dan Gooday for many years, and being a huge fan of the Ashdown brand and products, I am delighted to be able to work with them in establishing Ashdown USA and getting these incredible bass amps into the hands of many American players.”

Dealing directly with the market means Ashdown will be able to bring its own personality to the American bass community, while offering a high level of support. According to the company, it is the number-one bass brand across the European Union. Its artist roster features bands like Black Sabbath, Foo Fighters, System of a Down, The Who, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Biffy Clyro and U2.
