Best In Music celebrated its 23rd anniversary on September 21 and 22 with a huge sale and drawing. For the past 10 years, Best In Music has been hosting a huge anniversary event featuring live music, vendor-sponsored promotions, door crasher accessories, special event pricing and a huge drawing where more than $10,000 worth of product is given away. Each year, more than 500 people flood the parking lot of the main Best In Music location in Orem UT, hoping for a chance to win one of 10 free guitars with a total value of more than $10,000. The grand prize was a Fender American Standard Stratocaster retailed at more than $1,500.
This year was no exception, as the people came in droves for their chance to win. More than $2,000 worth of strings and accessories were thrown out to the crowd, as well. It’s Best In Music’s way of saying thank you to its loyal customers who have helped the business become the main source for music and guitars in Utah, boasting five locations. Aside from a fantastic turnout, this year’s sales numbers set all-time records. Even in a slow economy, this year’s September 21 sales were up 87 percent as compared to last year, and the September 22 sales were up more than 58 percent, making it the best anniversary event—as well as the best single sales day—in the company’s 23-year history.
