Creative Tunings presents Harmonik Mutes, an add-on to Spidercapo. With Harmonik Mutes touching the string at a point of natural harmonics, your instrument will sound the harmonic when the open string is plucked, and you can depress the string to play a fingered note. With harmonics occurring at numerous points on the fingerboard, this opens up many new areas of naturally occurring tonal exploration. Notes can be fingered above and below the mute. With Harmonik Mutes muting the string, further open tunings are made possible by muting chosen strings to create wide voicings never before heard on the instrument. Notes played above the mute will sound naturally. With Harmonik Mutes damping selected strings, guitar technique can be improved by stopping residual string vibration, and guitar feedback can be minimized without the tone-alteration tendencies of “feedback eliminators.”
