The Women’s International Music Network (the WiMN) recently announced open nominations for its annual She Rocks Award ceremony, which honors women in music. It will take place January 22, 2016, in Anaheim CA, during the NAMM Show. Approaching its fourth year, the She Rocks Awards program has honored dozens of music professionals; they include multi-platinum artist Colbie Caillat; Amani Duncan, Vice President of Brand Marketing at Martin Guitar; Latin Grammy award-winning artist Gaby Moreno; legendary band The Bangles; Mary Peavey, President of Peavey Electronics; iconic percussionist Sheila E.; Experience Hendrix CEO Janie Hendrix; Dinah Gretsch, Executive Vice President and CFO of the Gretsch Company; and many others.

“We are thrilled to open nominations for the 2016 She Rocks Awards, and we look forward to shining a spotlight on outstanding women in music,” remarked Laura B. Individuals are encouraged to nominate female trailblazing music industry peers, friends and colleagues, or to nominate themselves. The deadline to submit nominations is September 1.
